Health Reform (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) Implementation and Communications Toolkit
Introduction
On March 30, 2010 President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), which will extend health coverage to an additional 32 million Americans. The ACA expands Medicaid, reforms the individual and small group insurance markets, and provides subsidies for middle income households to purchase coverage on Affordable Health Insurance Exchanges. The law also contains many provisions that will impact employers and employer-sponsored plans.
The National Business Group on Health developed the Health Reform (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) Implementation and Communications Toolkit to assist our members with understanding the key employer provisions, complying with the regulatory implementation, and communicating with employees, retirees, and senior executives.
